AirPlay for Windows. A desktop app that turns your PC into a clean AirPlay source - stream any app's audio to HomePods and AirPlay 2 speakers.

What it is

AirShare fills a gap Apple never did: AirPlay on Windows. It turns your desktop into an AirPlay source that feels native, fast, and stable - so your HomePods finally work with your PC.

Features

  • Per-app audio routing - send Spotify to the HomePod while the game stays on your headphones
  • Built-in equalizer - band adjustments and presets before the audio leaves your machine
  • Fast output switching - jump between local speakers and AirPlay targets without fuss
  • Stable playback - built to run through a full workday, not just a demo
  • Minimal interface - pair a device and you’re done

Under the hood

The app is built with Tauri - a Rust core doing the audio capture and AirPlay streaming, with a React/TypeScript UI on top. Getting per-app audio capture and the AirPlay 2 protocol to behave on Windows is where most of the fun (and pain) lives.
